Floyd Mayweather was born on February 24, 1977 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His father a welterweight boxer and his uncle was a IBO super featherweight champion. Boxing is in Floyd's blood. He was fitted for his first pair of boxing gloves at the age of even. Floyd was very interested in boxing from his childhood.
Floyd Mayweather began his professional career in 1996. He continued to win Mayweather at an oustanding rate. He won some easy bouts during his first two years. Floyd won three national Gloden Gloves and some more medals in the 1996 Olympics. He was award as the best pound for pound fighter in the world with 38 undefeated bouts in 2007.
