Lin Dan was born on 14 October, 1983 in Fujjan, China. e is the best prominent single player throughout the world now. He has first position for two years after 2004. But Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia had taken his place in 2006 for a short time. He has won gold medal recently in London Olympic 2012. He is such a great player from China.
Lin Dan has won the 2007 World Badminton Championships in men’s singles, defeating Sony DWI Kuncoro of Indonesia in the final to be the Second player just after Yang Yang to win the men’s singles championship continual, after getting the gold medal in the 2006 World Badminton Championships. Among the competitions he's won are the All England Open (2004, 2006 & 2007), China Masters, and also helping China in succeeding two Thomas Cup in the year 2004 and 2006.
Lin Dan has shown excellent overall performance of the China team and supporting China to maintain their Third Thomas Cup back to back. In all 5 matches performed by Lin Dan in the Thomas Cup 2008, he has only beaten to Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia in the Semi-Final, and Lin Dan picks up the first position in China in the Final by beating Park Sung Hwan from Korea.
